Windows & Insulated Glass
Insulated glass units or IG units are sealed combinations of two or more lites of glass separated by a dry airspace. IG units improve the thermal performance of windows, thus significantly reducing heating and air-conditioning costs. IG units also reduce interior condensation in cold climates, and increase comfort near windows, thus maximizing the usable interior space.
Insulating glass units are fabricated according to project specifications.
We recommend one of our qualified glass
technicians to field measure as each insulated size and thickness may vary. Also labor cannot be
quoted over the phone as each window/door frame may require different tools and time to replace.
When To Replace Insulated Glass:
Fogging- Insulated glass units last for a very long time, but overtime the seal between the two panes of glass can fail. This causes the inner surface between the two pieces of glass to fog or have condensation.
Broken Glass- In case of an accident where only one pane of the glass breaks, the entire insulated glass unit needs to be replaced. Replacement of an insulated glass unit is normally not a DIY project and requires experience.
